I feel as if my brain has slowed down along with the world. Everything has stopped right in the middle; no warning, no time to prepare. While we sit in our homes with no other choice but to stay confined, this is the perfect moment to seek Jesus deeper.
How often have we asked God for a moment to slow down? How often have we asked Him for just enough space to breathe? I prayed for just that, where I can have time to rest in His spirit for as long as I can. Have you sought that in this time? We’re in extremely unfortunate times right now, and it’s devastating to see a majority of things shut down as well as hear of deaths due to this virus. But I can assure you that the very God who created this world knows exactly what is going on and has a plan we can never understand. His hand is over our lives, and He will never forsake us. We can choose to use this time to seek Him and be intentional with our faith. I admit I have not immediately done it myself, but everyday I am convicted and I lay myself down at His feet in surrender. Let’s be with the ones we love in this time, too, to talk and process and enjoy close company. The world may be on hold, but our faith isn’t, and neither is Jesus.
So, let us stand together in prayer and fight this with hopeful hearts and a trusting spirit. Do what we are told to do, be wise, and most of all, never stop seeking Jesus.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
