Dave grew up in Davis, CA, and graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Christian Education. While at S.P.U. he met and married fellow student Dawn Miller in 1985. Prior to coming to Mt. Gilead, Dave worked on staff at SAMBICA Camp in Bellevue, Washington, and at Redwood Christian Park in the Santa Cruz Mountains. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Kids for the Kingdom and Pleasant Hill Christian School. Dave and Dawn have three children, two daughter in-laws, a son in-law and two grandchildren. Dave loves hiking, kayaking and woodworking.
