46 Days of Prayer for Gilead




Week One: Junior Camp (Begins June 12)

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.” I Peter 5:8-9

Day 1 – Pray for our campers and staff to be protected from the enemy

Day 2 – Pray the truth of God’s word would be clearly proclaimed

Day 3 – Pray for soft hearts and minds that understand the Word of God

Day 4 – Pray for strength and self-discipline for counselors and other staff to be in the Word of God

Day 5 – Pray for courage for the campers to make decisions for Christ

Day 6 – Pray for parents to be encouraged and challenged through our closing program

Day 7 – Pray for Refreshment for our staff, volunteers, speakers and worship team


Week Two: High School Camp (Begins June 17)

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7

Day 1 – Pray for the staff and speakers to declare God’s word with great care, conviction and Truth

Day 2 – Pray that the campers feel safe and comfortable asking questions

Day 3 – Pray for campers to see the difference between a worldly life vs a godly life

Day 4 – Pray for staff to be strengthened with wisdom and discernment from the LORD

Day 5 – Pray for the speaker to challenge campers to know God’s love and pursue holiness

Day 6 – Pray that the parents would support and encourage their camper’s commitment to Christ

Day 7 – Pray for strength, good rest and refreshment for staff and campers



Week Three: Junior High Camp (Begins June 26)

“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10

Day 1 – Pray for campers and staff to know the difference between pleasing others vs. God

Day 2 – Pray for campers and staff to have their identities in Christ and not in the approval of others

Day 3 – Pray for campers to feel at home and safe with their counselor and cabin mates

Day 4 – Pray for counselors to know how to answer tough questions

Day 5 – Pray for an increased desire for the campers to read their Bibles

Day 6 – Pray for parents to see the difference Jesus can make in the lives of campers AND parents

Day 7 – Pray staff are able to relax, regroup and take care of themselves





Week Four: Kids Day Camp (Begins July 5-8)

Day 1 – Pray for the campers to feel safe and not miss mom and dad

Day 2 – Pray for kids to understand the truth about Jesus and who He is

Day 3 - Pray for good friendships to be formed

Day 4 - Pray for strength campers on the last day of kids’s camp


Week Five: Junior Camp and Timothy Teams (Begins July 10)

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

Day 1 – Pray for unity among the staff based on the truth of God

Day 2 – Pray for excellent discipleship training for Tim Team Campers

Day 3 – Pray that the Junior Campers would understand the Word of God

Day 4 – Pray for God’s conviction and leading as truth is proclaimed

Day 5 – Pray for decisions and commitments to be made

Day 6 – Pray for parents to be champions of their campers

Day 7 – Pray for great encouragement for staff and campers as they go to church


Week Six: High School Camp (Begins July 17)

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24

Day 1 – Pray for our staff to walk humbly…forgiving readily

Day 2 – Pray for campers and staff to allow Jesus to see their hearts and hurts

Day 3 – Pray for the speaker and worship team to lead campers well

Day 4 – Pray for campers to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit

Day 5 Pray for clarity for the Gospel message

Day 6 Pray for strength for campers and parents to live out their convictions

Day 7 Pray for the staff to be strengthened in body and spirit


Week Seven: Junior High Camp (Begins July 24)

“But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.” 2 Timothy 4:5

Day 1 Pray for endurance for the staff and joy in their service

Day 2 Pray for campers and counselors to forge strong friendships

Day 3 Pray for campers to be encouraged by the word of God

Day 4 Pray for counselors to be sensitive to God’s leading and direction

Day 5 Pray for our speaker and worship team to communicate powerfully truth

Day 6 Pray for campers and parents to be encouraged and challenged in the Lord

Day 7 Pray for campers and counselors to be renewed after a week of camp
