Timothy Team Leader

A Timothy Team Leader must be called to the ministry of Mt. Gilead and have a vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Godly character, spiritual maturity, and a passion for mentoring youth in leadership are essential for this position. The Timothy Team Leader is responsible for leading and discipling the Timothy Team (high school students serving and learning in ministry), guiding them in their spiritual growth, biblical knowledge and leadership development.

Responsibilities:

Build relationships with the Timothy Teamers for the purpose of encouragement and discipleship.

Provide spiritual mentorship throughout camp sessions

Facilitating the Timothy Team schedule and activities for two weeks, making and suggesting changes under the direction of the Program Manager.

Create and implement rules, expectations, and goals that align with Mt. Gilead’s mission

Lead and teach Bible studies, devotionals, and training seminars

Plan fun and meaningful group activities to encourage team unity and joy

Assist with the cleaning of camp before and after each week of summer camp

Facilitation of Mt. Gilead Recreation and aquatics areas.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves leading games and participating in outdoor activities. Candidates should be able to perform tasks involving lifting, standing, and walking across campgrounds.
Additional Notes:
Room and board is provided for this position. This position is expected to live onsite for the duration of the camp program week. This position is able to partake in all meals provided by Mt. Gilead’s kitchen services for the duration of the summer season or the duration of the individual’s employment, whichever period of time is shorter.
*All employees may be asked to perform other tasks that further the ministry and mission of Mt. Gilead Bible Camp.
