A Media Team Member must be called to the ministry of Mt. Gilead and have a vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Godly character, self-motivation, and a passion for creative media are essential for this position. The Media Team Member is responsible for capturing the camp experience through photography, videography, editing, and media distribution, helping campers and parents enjoy tangible memories of their time at Mt. Gilead while supporting the camp’s communication and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Photograph and film campers, staff, activities, chapel services, and special events throughout each camp day

• Capture high-quality images of camp facilities and grounds

• Edit photos and videos for use in weekly highlight videos, social media, and camp promotional materials

• Upload and organize media on assigned platforms such as the website, blog, Instagram, and Facebook

• Order and pick up prints of cabin group photos and camp group photos

• Operate the sound booth during chapel (worship, speakers, videos, etc.) as needed

• Collaborate with program staff to ensure full coverage of camp activities and key moments

• Maintain organized media storage, ensuring proper labeling and archiving

• Present a positive, Christlike image that reflects the values and mission of Mt. Gilead

 

Physical Requirements:

This position involves walking throughout the campgrounds, carrying camera gear for extended periods, and participating in outdoor activities in varying weather conditions. Candidates should be able to lift equipment, stand for long periods, and move easily across camp facilities.

 

Additional Notes:

Room and board is provided for this position. The Media Team Member is required to live onsite for the duration of employment unless an alternative arrangement has been approved by the hiring manager. Staff in this position may partake in all meals provided by Mt. Gilead’s kitchen services for the duration of the summer season or their period of employment, whichever is shorter.

 

All employees may be asked to perform other tasks that further the ministry and mission of Mt. Gilead Bible Camp.
