Peace, Be Still

Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Fall and Winter are arriving, and oh, are we prepared for it. The falling rain and chilly weather creates a beautiful atmosphere here in the redwoods, and sweaters and rainboots are taken out of the closet and finally put to use. There’s something peaceful about being indoors in a camp setting hearing rain against the roof and sipping tea with your great friends. This is where we begin to appreciate the “slowing down” of life, the moments of reflection and refreshment. Guest groups are scattered throughout the weeks, leaving some quiet days for us to settle into the Holy Spirit. And when guests are here, we do love seeing God still move outside of summer camp. To see the impact of Jesus in all seasons is what keeps Gilead alive and thriving. We invite you to join us in seeking Jesus in the stillness of life, and to find Him and listen to what His heart has for you.
