Dear Friends of Mt. Gilead,
We wanted to let you know that the Mt. Gilead staff are praying that you and your loved ones are staying healthy during this current COVID-19 coronavirus. We are grateful for the assurance and comfort we find in our faithful and loving God who holds the whole world in His hands.
As we seek to serve the Lord and His people during this challenging time, we are implementing extra safety measures to protect those we serve, as well as our staff and volunteers. While there is no known direct contact with the virus at our camp, we have implemented the following measures in compliance with the Sonoma County Health Department and the Center for Disease Control.
High contact surfaces such as door knobs, tables, light switches, faucets and handles will be disinfected multiple times a day. In addition to our regular thorough cleaning, we are asking staff, guests, and campers to wash their hands often for 20 seconds or more and will make available hand sanitizer.
We are in communication with and abide by the Sonoma County Health Department’s direction regarding the most current counsel and advice. As of now, we are postponing our Men’s Conference to October 17-18 and Women’s Retreat to September 11-13, 2020. We have unfortunately cancelled our Easter Sunrise Service, but our Summer Camp programs will continue as planned. Unless regulations and health instructions change, then we will adjust and inform you immediately if things change regarding our events.
As always, be assured of our prayers and concern for you and your loved ones. The Lord will see us through this trial.
