Sweet Retreat: Threads of Grace
At one time or another we will all encounter obstacles in our lives that leave us scrambling for solid ground. Maybe our health is taken from us, or we are struggling at work or at school or perhaps the relationships around us are breaking apart. When life looks bleak God often weaves a thread of grace into our lives…a thread that leads us back to Him. Come join us at Sweet Retreat 2018, as we hear from three different women sharing their journey of how God reached them, transformed them and is using them today. Their stories will leave you inspired, encouraged, and challenged as you reflect on the God’s thread of grace in your own life.

Worship Leader: Miranda Ables
Miranda Ables has been leading worship for over 15 years. She started leading worship in convalescent homes to elderly people. She now is the worship leader for her church Citrus Heights Fellowship and she also leads worship at Bayside 20-30 singles group called Fusion. She is a mother to two beautiful girls. Her oldest, Loriah, is 15 and helps out with media at church. Her youngest, Mia, is 8 and at the age of 5 was diagnosed with Leukemia and was in and out of the hospital for about 2 and a half years. Hallelujah, by the grace of God Mia was cancer free in July 2017. Her girls are her world, being a single mom, but when they are not home she finds time to be involved in ministry as often as she can.
Breakout Sessions on Saturday with Retreat Team & Co
Ready! Set! Grow!: The Bible is filled with believers that had a rich vibrant faith in Jesus. How did they cultivate such a deep walk with God and how can I learn from their example? How can I change the pattern of my life of longing for more, but settling for less and move to a pattern of longing for more and overflowing with Christ? Come join us as we explore the foundations of our faith and learn strategies for growing a faith that is alive and unshakable.
Senior Moment: Young people are longing to hear the voices of godly older people that love them and will speak the truth in these very uncertain times. How would you like to be that older woman that breathes life, hope and encouragement into the next generation? Come join us as we learn how to seize this moment in time and use our wisdom, life experience and faith to equip the young people that God has brought into our lives.
Relationship IQ: Nothing stretches us quite like relationships. The people God has placed in our lives are there by design. In relationships we have the opportunity grow and mature. Come learn how to maximize your ability to relate to those around you.
Stuff that Matters?: The serpent said to Eve in Genesis 3:1, “Did God really say that?” and he continues to whisper those words into our hearts and minds today. Satan seeks to minimize our need to obey God, by telling us that holiness doesn’t matter, that it is irrelevant and obsolete. But what does God have to say about that? Come join us as we learn to understand God’s purposes behind what he asks of us.
On the Edge: Being on the edge of a cliff can be exciting and exhilarating, but it can also be frightening and make a us feel trapped. When we find ourselves in midst of difficult trials and circumstances that we didn’t expect we can feel like we are on the edge of what we can handle. Come join us as we look to the Lord and His Word for a way to through trials that threaten to rob us of our hope and strength.
Set Free: Have you ever felt trapped by your own thinking? Sometimes our thoughts can hold us captive and keep us from living in freedom. When we are fixated on thoughts that run contrary to what God says in the Bible we can end up living small. There is a way out. Join us as we look for clues to our story so that we can break the strongholds that hinder us from experiencing the life God intended for us to lead.
