Theme: Chaos to Calm
Jesus often stepped into chaotic, messy situations but He was calm. He brought calmness to most people. The people who didn’t feel so calm in his presence were those grasping at power, control, and status. But for those that were grieving, sick, oppressed, directionless, without hope…He brought calmness and He did it not by giving people everything they wanted and making them comfortable but by challenging their thinking and encouraging them to be in fellowship with Him and reminding them of a heavenly kingdom.
John 17:13-15 Jesus words as He was praying for his disciples. “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.” Come join as we learn more about the calm that Christ can bring to our lives.
