What this event is about….
Coming together as a group of believers to learn about the relevant topics of our days in a format that allows for discussion both in the chapel and in the dining hall over dinner.
This years theme: Have you ever stepped into a room full of people and had a sneaking suspicion you weren’t welcome? As the days slip by it is becoming increasingly apparent in this country that if you are a follower of Christ and take His Word seriously you are not terribly welcome in many circles. This is nothing new in other parts of the world, but it is indeed new for America.
As we navigate the new landscape of our country many of us are asking the question, can we as believers still make a difference? What should be our focus? How can we take a stand? And what should we take a stand for and what will be the cost if we do? The Scripture says, “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16.
Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 3 p.m. we are having our first ever Faith, Forum, and Fellowship Gathering at Mt. Gilead to explore these very questions. Learn how to shine the light of Christ in effective, relevant, and powerful ways to a dark world.
