Greetings from our featured speaker for 2008, Sharon Sands
I am delighted to return to Northern, California for Mount Gilead Women’s Retreat 2008. Our theme will be “The Seasons of Friendship” and we will take a closer look at the art of loving one another. We will explore God’s instruction book on friendships…the Bible. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLT "A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer, Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken"
We will study the friendship of Jonathan and David, whose friendship thrived in the face of great opposition. They did not allow the dark spirit of jealousy, disappointment, discouragement, pride, or family ties destroy their God-ordained friendship.

Our Featured Worship Leader
Wendy Cunningham is returning to lead worship for our “Season’s of Friendship” Women’s Retreat. Wendy is a vibrant young woman with a passion for worship. She is an accomplished vocalist and musician. She is serves as worship leaders at her home church Calvary Community Church in Rohnert Park.

Special Music and Comedy with The Beaudettes
The Beaudettes are returning for another comedy filled evening during Women’s Retreat.. Since August 2005, the Beaudettes have toured Northern California performing at churches, conferences, and various community functions. They met attending a church retreat and found that God had a ministry for them of humor, music, song and dance.

Special Note:
In year's past we have offered the "Friendship Ministry" (which has provided you with the opportunity to have a one-on-one conversation with a mature Christian woman). We decided to try something new this year, by leaving the Prayer Chapel open during the entire retreat. In addition, during freetime hours ladies from our volunteer staff will be available to pray with you individually if you are interested.
Pajama Party
This year we will not be having a talent show, but we will still have our pajama party, with options for you to enjoy Saturday night including:
- Chick-Flick in the Main Chapel
- Girl Talk: Chatting in the Fireside Room
- Fun and Games in the Dinning Hall (feel free to bring your favorite game to share!)

Joy…sometimes seems elusive, but is it really? Featured speaker Sharon Sands will help us explore ways to regain that joy available to each of us. Come join us for an afternoon of laughter, reflection, worship and yes, joy! As always, Mt. Gilead’s Culinary Staff will provide us with an exception meal.
