Lodging Information

Campers sleep in cabins. The cabins are separated (boys and girls) by a road and are each fenced off. Each cabin is accompanied by at least one counselor over the age of 18. Each cabin has 4 bunk beds and one double bed where the counselor will sleep. Portable restrooms are located in each of the two cabin areas and a shower/restroom facility is only a short walk away. For pictures of these facilities visit our Lodging page.

Location and History

Mt. Gilead is a Bible Camp and Conference Center located in Sonoma County in the town of Sebastopol. It was founded in 1963 by the American Missionary Fellowship (formerly the American Sunday School Union) by A.M.F. Missionary, Dwight Jungkeit. Today Mt. Gilead is host to many of it's own programs such as summer youth camps, an annual Men's Conference and Women's Retreat, Easter Sunrise Service and several other great events. It is the goal of Mt. Gilead to present campers to the cross of Christ and promote discipleship, sharing the love of Christ with all we have the privilege of serving.

When to Drop Off Your Camper

Camp registration begins at 3:00pm on Sunday (each camp begins on a Sunday). Please DO NOT drop off campers prior to 3:00pm. We will have no staff to supervise or register anyone before 3:00pm.

When to Pick Up Your Camper
Please do not pick up your camper before the time indicated below.

High School (Grades 9-12) and Junior High (Grades 7-8) campers are ready for pick-up Saturday at 10am.  However, there is a closing program for parents at 9:30am that includes that camp’s “Highlight Video”.

Junior Campers (Grades 4-6) participate in a closing program Friday at 1:00pm.  Parents are invited to come to the program as well as see a “Highlight Video” of the week.  Campers will go home with their parents immediately following the program.

Sending Your Camper Mail
Please send your camper’s mail to 13485 Green Valley Rd. Sebastopol, CA 95472. Be sure to include your camper’s name and week of camp attending. We do not accept emails for campers.

Care Packages
If you are interested in ordering an online care package for your camper, go to our Care Package page. The online store opens Sundays at 2pm. During High School and Junior High camp it closes Thursday at 11am and for Junior Camp it closes on Wednesday at 11am.

Want to come to more than one kidz kamp?
You may register for two Kidz Kamps, but we will not process the second registration until one week prior to the camps in order to give priority to first time campers.  We want to give everyone a chance to attend, so we will wait and see if there is still room.  We will contact 2nd time applicants one week prior and let them know if there is still room or not.

How and when can I pay my balance?
Your balance is due at registration on the first day of camp. However, if you would like to qualify for Express Check-In, so you don’t have to wait in lines on registration day, you must pay your balance due before coming to camp. You may either send a check for the amount due (please put camper’s name in the memo field) or you may call our office with your credit card information to make a payment (1-800-576-4508 or 823-4508). Please do not fill out another online registration with just the payment information, because this can be confusing.
