The purpose of the CIT program is to teach high school students the skills necessary to be an effective counselor. The training will focus on servant leadership, building positive relationships, and applying God’s Word to everyday life.
What is a C.I.T.?
A Counselor In Training (C.I.T.) is a volunteer counselor that works with a staff counselor during the week of summer camp. The CIT assists the counselor in any way possible such as, leading a devotion, helping to connect individually with students, or supervising a recreation activity. A CIT is under the leadership of the head counselor and is there to serve the counselor and the students.

- 16 years or older
- Turn in a CIT application to the Mt. Gilead office (available at the CIT Retreat)
- Write a 1 page testimony of what Christ is doing in your life
- Have youth pastor or pastor recommendation
- Have attended a CIT Retreat at Mt. Gilead
