1500 Opportunities
Our mission this summer is to see 1,500 opportunities for Campers to be changed by God at Mt. Gilead.
Our goal has always been to reach and teach Campers in Northern California about Jesus and His life-changing work, show them God’s beauty in Creation, and surround them in Christian Community. 1,500 campers this summer does not mean our camp is full. It means something much greater.
Make Mt. Gilead YOUR Ministry:
1. Pray
Please pray that God works amazing things out at Summer Camp this year.
2. Enroll
Sometimes it’s difficult to see a fun Summer Camp as a spiritual priority. Last Summer 105 campers made decisions to follow Christ, 54 decided to rededicate their lives to Christ and 11 want to pursue full time ministry.
3. Invite a Friend
If you have friends with Kids, or if your camper has friends, you should invite them to go to camp. If they’ve never been here before you both get a discount, but more importantly you can reach the people you already know with the gospel!
4. Reach Out
We encourage you to reach outside of your comfort zone and invite a neighbor or co-worker to send their kids to camp. Use us as an opportunity to have someone over for dinner or grab coffee. Whether or not they decide to send their kids to camp, you’ll be reaching out to your community for Christ.

Our goal for 2011 is to reach and serve 1500 campers with the great news about Jesus Christ and encourage them to follow Him. What an exciting opportunity to impact this generation! But we need your help!
As I speak to different audiences I like to ask how many have been impacted by camping ministry and consistently over 75% raise their hands. The value of camp ministry is that young people are “unplugged” from tv, internet, cellphones, iPods and are given an opportunity to clearly hear the truth from God’s Word. They also get to experience the love of god through the counselors and staff who serve them.
